Dainvo Changelog

These release notes summarize what changed in each Dainvo desktop beta.

Beta v0.10.1

Platforms: Windows app, macOS app, and Linux app.

Feature Updates

  • Added a Calendar setting to choose 5, 10, 15, or 30-minute increments when creating, moving, or resizing timed items in Day and Week views.

Patches

  • Restored the AI Alpha designation in Settings, with a clear Alpha subtitle and availability notice in every supported language.
  • Improved Linux package names, descriptions, categories, license metadata, and desktop integration across DEB, RPM, Flatpak, and Snap builds.
  • Updated desktop packaging dependencies and expanded release validation for more reliable signed installers.

Hot Fixes

  • Fixed email-confirmation and browser sign-in links returning to packaged Dainvo builds on macOS.
  • Fixed email-confirmation and browser sign-in links returning to Dainvo installed from the Snap Store.
  • Prevented packaged Dainvo Dev builds from intercepting confirmation and browser sign-in links intended for the production Dainvo app.
  • Fixed Check now and automatic confirmation checks so sign-in completes after an email address is confirmed in the browser, even when the return link does not reopen Dainvo.

Beta v0.10.0

Platforms: Windows app, macOS app, and Linux app.

Feature Updates

  • Dainvo AI now uses the signed-in cloud service instead of downloading and running a local model, reducing the installed app size and background resource use while keeping explicit data-access controls.
  • Added automation rules for buckets and email-created tasks, with controls in Settings for choosing supported triggers, conditions, and actions.
  • Added approval prompts and desktop notifications when an external OpenAI, Codex, or Claude connection requests an action that needs confirmation.
  • Added recurring-event scope choices so supported edits and deletions can apply to one occurrence, this and future occurrences, or the entire series.

Patches

  • Improved Dainvo AI responses for month, overdue, future-date, count, and all-day queries, and made longer result lists consistently expandable.
  • Reduced background CPU and memory use while Dainvo remains open in the tray or taskbar.
  • Enabled desktop notifications by default for new installations.
  • Improved Obsidian mobile sync with task deletion support and safer vault replacement and disconnect handling.
  • Preserved recurring dates more reliably across Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Apple Calendar, CalDAV, and Zoho Calendar.
  • Improved Settings visuals for the profile avatar, status badge, and active calendar event type controls.

Hot Fixes

  • Fixed editing and deleting individual Microsoft Outlook recurring-event occurrences.
  • Removed event-title and bucket-name suggestions that could reinterpret words such as "night" and propose an unintended title or schedule.

Beta v0.9.1

Platforms: Windows app, macOS app, and Linux app.

Feature Updates

  • Added compatibility with direct Obsidian plugin-to-mobile task sync. Dainvo desktop recognizes the selected vault publisher, requires an explicit takeover, and preserves task identity when stable block IDs are added.
  • Obsidian task relay continues while Dainvo is open in the tray or taskbar, so mobile completions can reach Markdown without keeping the main window open.
  • Obsidian mobile relay now keeps one active vault per Dainvo account, requires confirmation before replacing it, repairs duplicate mobile caches, and lets each phone remove or re-enable Obsidian independently.

Patches

  • Made authenticated OpenAI, Codex, and Claude MCP connections available to Free accounts without a Dainvo subscription. Managed Teams and Enterprise connections still require an active seat and provider-specific approval.
  • Unified the personal paid plan under Pro. Launch-priced subscriptions now appear as Pro — Launch Price while keeping the same Pro features.
  • Retired or unknown license data now falls back safely to Free and shows a warning instead of being treated as a current plan.

Hot Fixes

  • None.

Beta v0.9.0

Platforms: Windows app, macOS app, and Linux app.

Feature Updates

  • Added My Day, a focused task view for choosing what to work on today and clearing items when the day changes.
  • Added provider-specific AI data controls so each connected account shows only the calendar, task, email, document-link, bucket, and automation access that provider can actually support.
  • Pro features now stay visible in Settings and the app rail with consistent muted controls, Pro badges, and upgrade actions. My Day, Inbox, external MCP, multiple time zones, Google location search, and integrations beyond the Free four-feature limit are enforced at both the interface and trusted app boundaries.
  • Eligible new Free accounts can now start with a 7-day Pro trial and continue on Free automatically when the trial ends, without entering payment details.
  • Pro launch pricing is now presented consistently at $5 monthly or $48 yearly, with the launch price locked while the subscription remains active.

  • Fixed Zoom-backed Google events that could get stuck after Google rejected an edit or cancellation because the stored event version was stale. Retrying now reloads the latest Google event version before updating or deleting.
  • Improved online meeting locks so users can still edit attendees and meeting details while preventing calendar or meeting-provider changes after creation.
  • Removed the duplicate Microsoft To Do sync button from account settings. Microsoft To Do now syncs through the normal Microsoft account sync action.
  • Hid Todoist and Microsoft To Do rail icons when there are no connected accounts available for those task providers.
  • Moved the flagged email rail icon above external task provider icons.

Hot Fixes

  • None.
