Outlook Calendar integration

Outlook Calendar lets Dainvo show and manage supported Microsoft calendars.

What syncs

Dainvo can import calendars and events, create and edit supported events, update availability and visibility, set event importance, use Outlook categories, and process pending local changes when you sync.

Supported behavior depends on the Microsoft account type and calendar permissions.

Outlook Calendar can send invitation email for attendees when the event supports it and you choose to send updates.

Invitations sent to you can appear in Dainvo's Inbox, where supported Outlook events can be accepted, marked tentative, or declined. Suggest a new time appears when the organizer requests responses and allows proposals. Outlook may remove a declined event from your calendar, so Dainvo asks before changing an accepted or tentative response to Declined.

If category colors are unavailable, use the reconnect action beside Categories and approve the requested Microsoft permission. The category names still belong to Outlook; Dainvo loads the account's category list so you can select and recognize them.

Right-click an Outlook event for supported quick actions such as Reply All, New email to attendees, Forward in Outlook, Add Conference Room, Private, Show As, Categorize, Print, and Duplicate Event. Invitees keep safe communication and RSVP actions but do not receive organizer-only changes. Synced recurring occurrences can be updated directly; Outlook categories remain series-only.

Install

  1. Open Settings > Integrations.
  2. Choose Microsoft or Add Outlook Calendar.
  3. Sign in with your Microsoft account.
  4. Approve calendar access.
  5. Return to Dainvo and wait for the first sync.

If Microsoft is already connected for another feature, choose Add Outlook Calendar to enable calendar sync on that account.

Remove

  1. Open Settings > Integrations.
  2. Disable Outlook Calendar on the Microsoft account, or remove the whole Microsoft connection.
  3. For work or school accounts, revoke app permissions in the Microsoft My Apps portal if needed.

Removing the connection from Dainvo does not delete calendar events in Outlook.

Troubleshooting

  • Admin approval required: ask your Microsoft 365 administrator to approve the requested delegated permissions. Send them Approve Dainvo in your organization — it has the app ID, permissions, and consent steps.
  • Missing calendars: use Sync now.
  • Permission errors: use Reconnect and approve calendar access.
  • Shared calendar issues: confirm your Microsoft account has edit access to that shared calendar.
