CalDAV integration

CalDAV lets Dainvo connect to compatible calendar servers that are not Google, Microsoft, or iCloud.

What syncs

Dainvo can read and write supported calendar events through the CalDAV server. Supported invitations can appear in Dainvo's Inbox with Accept, Tentative, and Decline actions. Exact behavior depends on your provider's CalDAV support and the permissions on each calendar.

What you need

Ask your calendar provider for:

  • CalDAV server URL
  • Username
  • Password or app password
  • A display name for the account in Dainvo

Dainvo requires the server URL to use http or https.

Install

  1. Open Settings > Integrations.
  2. Choose Connect CalDAV.
  3. Enter the server URL, username, password or app password, and display name.
  4. Connect and wait for Dainvo to verify the account.

Dainvo offers presets for common providers such as Fastmail, Nextcloud, Zoho, GMX, mailbox.org, Infomaniak, and more that prefill the server URL, and manual entry remains available for any other CalDAV server.

Remove

  1. Open Settings > Integrations.
  2. Find the CalDAV account.
  3. Use Remove and confirm.
  4. Revoke or rotate the provider password if you want provider-side access removed.

Removing CalDAV from Dainvo does not delete calendars or events from the provider.

Troubleshooting

  • Invalid URL: confirm the provider's CalDAV URL and include https:// when required.
  • Login fails: use an app password if the provider requires one.
  • Calendars are read-only: check provider permissions.
  • Sync fails after a provider change: reconnect with the updated server URL or password.
