Calendar events, attendees, and ICS
Dainvo calendar events are normal calendar items. They are separate from task blocks and buckets, even though all three appear in the same calendar workspace.
Event fields
Events can include:
- Calendar selection
- Title and description
- Start and end time
- Time zone
- Location
- Reminders
- Availability
- Attendees
- Online meeting service
- Sync status
The event editor includes a day preview so you can check surrounding calendar items before saving.
Attendees and RSVP email
Dainvo supports attendee entries as email addresses or display-name-plus-email entries. Dainvo keeps attendee details compatible with Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, CalDAV, ICS, and Dainvo Calendar events.
Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar can send invitation or RSVP email when the connected service supports it and the event save requests it. Local Dainvo calendars and CalDAV calendars can store attendee data, but Dainvo does not send RSVP email for those calendars.
Google and Outlook resource attendees, such as rooms or equipment, are supported where the connected service makes them available.
Recurring events
Dainvo supports basic recurring events for current calendar display and export behavior. Editing individual recurring occurrences separately is future work and should not be treated as fully supported until release notes say otherwise.
Availability
Writable calendars can support availability values such as busy or free depending on the connected service. Read-only calendars can still be visible in Dainvo, but editing is blocked with a readable reason.
ICS import and export
Settings includes ICS import/export for supported calendar data.
ICS export preserves supported event fields such as attendees and recurrence where Dainvo supports them. Some connected-service details may not carry over through ICS files.
