Use quick popups and the details panel
Calendar items use two focused surfaces: compact popups for events and task blocks, and the right details panel for buckets. The Email area also uses the right panel for a selected flagged message.
Open a compact popup
Single-click an event or task block to open a compact popup near the item. The popup keeps the calendar visible while you review details or take a common action.
Click the same item again, click elsewhere, or press Escape to close the popup. Double-click an event or task block to open its full editor.
Event quick actions
An event popup can show its calendar, time, location, description, reminders, attendees, response status, provider-specific labels, meeting link, and sync status. Available actions depend on the event and provider.
- Use Edit for the full event editor when the event is writable.
- Join Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Webex when a safe meeting link is available.
- Respond to an invitation or change your response when the provider supports it.
- Refresh attendee responses when you need current RSVP information.
- Remove an eligible declined or organizer-cancelled invitation without cancelling the organizer's meeting.
Read-only, disconnected, and invitation-owned events can limit editing while keeping safe actions such as joining or responding available.
Use the event context menu
Right-click an event for quick actions that match its provider, ownership, connection, and recurrence state. All events can offer Open and a localized Print summary. Duplicate Event opens an unsaved draft in a writable calendar without copying the recurrence rule, online meeting, or organizer identity, so you can review it before saving.
- Outlook events can offer Reply All, New email to attendees, Forward in Outlook, Add Conference Room, Private, Show As, and Categorize.
- Google events can offer Email guests, Add Room, Visibility, Show As, and Event Color.
- Local, Apple Calendar, and compatible CalDAV events show only the actions their calendar format and connection can safely support.
Invitees see RSVP and other non-organizer actions instead of organizer-only edits. A recurring event may offer an occurrence-safe quick change, Edit Series, or a disabled action with an explanation. Delete, Remove From Calendar, and Cancel Meeting are shown only when they match the event's ownership, attendee, and meeting state.
Task quick actions
A task popup can show the title, provider, schedule, priority, due date or deadline, notes, reminders, attachments, and completion state. Use the popup to complete or reopen the task, open the full task editor, or work with another scheduled block when multi-slot planning is enabled.
Completing or reopening a task updates every place that parent task appears, including task lists, calendar blocks, buckets, and Inbox.
Open the bucket details panel
Use the details-panel button in the calendar toolbar, then select a bucket. The panel stays beside the calendar so you can manage that work session without opening the full bucket editor.
Bucket details show the title, calendar, time, availability, sync status, description, and ordered Contents list.
From the bucket details panel you can:
- Complete or reopen tasks in the bucket.
- Remove tasks from the bucket without deleting the tasks.
- Drag tasks, files, and folders into Contents.
- Add items with the Add menu.
- Reorder items, or switch between Mixed and Tasks first views.
- Open, reveal, relink, or remove linked files.
- Edit or delete the bucket.
Deleting a bucket removes the bucket from the calendar but leaves the tasks and original linked files unchanged.
Flagged email details
From the Email area, selecting a flagged Outlook message can open its details in the right panel. You can review the message context, open it in Outlook, or clear its follow-up flag. Clearing a flag asks for confirmation because it changes the message in Outlook.
Choose the right surface
Use compact popups for event and task actions, the right panel for bucket contents and flagged email, and the full editor when you need to change the complete item.
